Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Chartered Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial statements, managing statutory and tax audits, and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulations. Daily responsibilities include handling direct and indirect tax filings, preparing tax computations, and assisting with tax planning and advisory assignments. The role involves managing bookkeeping and accounting records, performing reconciliations, and supporting internal control and process improvement initiatives. The Chartered Accountant will also interact with clients, address their queries, and coordinate with internal team members to deliver timely and accurate services.
Qualifications
- Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with valid membership from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and preparation and review of financial statements.
- Experience in statutory audit, internal audit, and assurance engagements, including documentation and reporting.
- Practical expertise in direct and indirect taxation, including return filing, tax audit, and basic tax planning.
- Proficiency in bookkeeping, general ledger management, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities.
- Comfort with accounting and tax software, MS Excel, and other productivity tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in a CA firm or professional services environment is preferred.
