Chartered Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and IRDAI requirements.
• Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory returns applicable to the insurance broking business.
• Manage internal, statutory, and IRDAI audits, ensuring prompt resolution of audit observations.
• Oversee reconciliation of premium collections, commissions, and payments to insurance partners.
• Monitor accounts receivable/payable and ensure accurate ledger management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and MIS reporting for business performance tracking.
• Conductfinancial due diligencefor audits, compliance reviews, and potential business initiatives.
• Assist ininvestor relationsby preparing financial reports, presentations, and responding to financial queries from stakeholders and partners.
• Maintain compliance with IRDAI circulars, accounting policies, and company SOPs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for financial data analysis and decision-making support.

Requirements

• Chartered Accountant with 36 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in BFSI/Insurance sector.
• Strong understanding of IRDAI compliance, taxation (direct & indirect), and corporate laws.
• Experience indue diligence, audit processes, and financial stakeholder reporting.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/accounting software (Tally, or equivalent).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
