Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chartered Accountant, based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for overseeing financial reports, managing taxation, conducting audits, maintaining compliance with regional financial regulations, handling accounts payable and receivable, and supporting strategic financial planning. The role also includes ensuring accuracy in financial record-keeping, streamlining accounting processes, and working closely with internal teams to provide financial insights for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Professional certification as a Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Strong knowledge of tax laws, audits, and compliance regulations
• Experience in preparing balance sheet and final accounts
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software including SAP
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to work on-site in Kolkata metropolitan area and manage multiple priorities
• Prior experience in the jewellery or retail sector is a plus
