Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Chartered Accountant at Akriti Sales Corporation. The Chartered Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations. The role includes preparation and review of financial statements, monthly and annual closing, budgeting, cash flow management, and variance analysis. The Chartered Accountant will handle statutory compliance, including GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulatory filings relevant to the Indian context, as well as coordinate with external auditors. The role also involves cost analysis related to inventory and distribution, support for management reporting and decision-making, and implementation or improvement of internal controls and accounting processes. Collaboration with sales, procurement, and operations teams is expected to ensure accurate financial data and support business performance.
Qualifications
  • Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) from a recognized institute; additional certifications in taxation or finance are an advantage.
  • Strong core accounting skills, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
  • Experience in Indian taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, income tax, and familiarity with statutory audits and regulatory filings.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and cash flow management.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software and ERP systems, as well as solid MS Excel skills for reporting and analysis.
  • Ability to design, implement, and maintain effective internal controls and process improvements in a trading or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to management.
  • Prior experience in the steel, cement, trading, or distribution sector is preferred
