Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and maintain a highly effective sales channel strategy for a specified market (global/regional) to improve ABB's market penetration and achieve its growth aspirations. Each day, you will plan and ensure the execution of the business area/division sales strategy to achieve both qualitative and quantitative targets for the assigned channel in a profitable way with a focus on orders, revenues, growth, margin, market share, sales productivity, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by leading, developing, and coaching the related Channel Sales organization.

This role is contributing to the machine automation within ABB's Automation division.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Build and manage strong relationships with top customers and partners, acting as a trusted advisor and main contact to translate customer needs into tailored solutions.

  • Drive sales growth by planning, developing, and achieving business targets, identifying new opportunities across markets and segments, and monitoring competitor activity to shape strategies.

  • Lead and expand the partner ecosystem by recruiting, onboarding, and developing distributors, integrators, and OEMs, fostering a partner-first culture, and enabling vertical expertise through training and certifications.

  • Execute strategic customer and partner development plans using CRM tools, create opportunity pipelines, and align with global channel management and ABB Machine Automation division strategy.

  • Demonstrate collaborative leadership, excellent communication, resilience, and a growth mindset while representing the brand at exhibitions, seminars, and product demo.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or related field).

  • 8+ years of experience in Machine Automation Sales or related technical functions within industrial or automation environments.

  • Proven experience leading, developing, and coaching technical or application support teams.

  • Expertise in developing and executing strategic sales plans, including forecasting, pipeline management, and achieving targets.

  • Demonstrated ability to design technically sound and costeffective solutions that support customer processes.

  • Solid understanding understanding of automation technologies, mechatronics, and industry-specific portfolios, with the ability to create value propositions.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across crossfunctional and global teams.

  • Excellent communication, problemsolving, and customerfacing skills with a track record of driving customer satisfaction and business growth.
