Role : Oracle Finance Functional Consultant

Experience : 3 to 8 years

Location : Chennai / Madurai

Role Overview

The Oracle Finance Functional Consultant will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting Oracle Financial modules. The role involves collaborating with business users, driving requirement workshops, preparing functional documentation, and ensuring smooth delivery of finance-related ERP functionalities.

Detailed Responsibilities

Oracle Finance Functional Expertise :

  • Work extensively on core Oracle Finance modules such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Fixed Assets (FA), and Cash Management (CM).
  • Configure financial modules based on business needs, run setups, define rules, tax configurations, and transaction workflows.
  • Ensure alignment of Oracle financial processes with organizational finance policies.

Data Migration & Validation

  • Execute complete data migration cycles including data mapping, extraction, transformation, validation, loading, and reconciliation.
  • Utilize tools such as FBDI and ADFDI for data upload.
  • Use basic SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and & Functional Design :
  • Prepare detailed functional documents including BRD (Business Requirement Document), MD050 (Functional Design Document), BR100 (Setup Document).
  • Define data templates, cut-over activities, and support go-live preparations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Gather requirements from business users and map them to functional specifications.
  • Provide UAT support, defect resolution, and ensure process compliance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams (SCM, HR, Procurement) to ensure seamless integrations.

Finance Process Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Ensure system processes comply with industry-standard finance and ERP best practices.
