Job Summary
The Senior CFD Engineer is responsible for leading Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses to support product development, performance optimization, and innovation initiatives. The role involves developing high-fidelity simulation models, interpreting results, and providing actionable engineering insights to cross-functional teams.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Apply computational, experimental, and analytical fluid dynamics and heat transfer expertise across different project stages.
- Develop and validate high-quality CFD models.
- Perform simulations involving aerodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, and multiphase flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across SBUs in a matrix organization.
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of all simulation outputs.
- Independently contribute to modeling, analysis, validation, and documentation.
- Support product development and performance optimization initiatives.
Required Skills- Strong expertise in:
- Bluff body aerodynamics
- Internal aerodynamics
- Heat transfer
- Combustion
- Multiphase simulations
- Hands-on experience with CFD tools such as:
- ANSYS CFX
- ANSYS Fluent
- Flow EFD
- OpenFOAM
- Strong theoretical foundation in:
- Numerical methods
- Fluid dynamics
- Heat transfer
- Programming knowledge and experience in developing productivity-enhancing scripts.
- Ability to work in a matrix team environment and influence peers.
Desired Skills
- Experience in the HVAC industry.
