About the Role
We are looking for a highly detail-oriented and process-driven Certification & Compliance Engineer who will ensure the organization's adherence to international management system standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and oversee global product certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CE, FCC, RoHS, UL, etc.).
This role collaborates closely with R&D, Production, and Quality teams to embed compliance requirements from the product design stage to manufacturing and final market release.
Key Responsibilities
A. Management Systems (QMS, EMS, OHSMS)
- Implement, maintain, and improve ISO-certified management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
- Develop, review, and control quality, environmental, and safety documentation.
- Plan and execute internal audits; manage CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Actions).
- Lead management review meetings and compile compliance performance reports.
- Train employees and raise awareness on management system requirements.
B. Product Certification & Regulatory Compliance
- Plan, execute, and manage certification projects for ATEX, IECEx, CE, FCC, RoHS, UL, etc.
- Coordinate with external testing labs, notified bodies, and regulatory authorities.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation (test reports, risk assessments, technical files).
- Ensure products comply with all global and regional regulatory requirements.
- Track certification renewals and stay updated on regulatory changes.
C. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Improvement
- Work with R&D and engineering teams to integrate certification requirements during product design and development.
- Monitor industry trends, standards, and regulatory updates.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce non-conformities and enhance audit readiness.
Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience in global product certifications (ATEX, IECEx, CE, FCC, UL, RoHS).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 implementation and audits.
- Proficiency in preparing and managing technical documentation and certification files.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills for cross-functional coordination and third-party interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical or related field).
- Experience working with testing labs, notified bodies, or regulatory agencies.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and process orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple certification projects simultaneously.
