Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced CEO to lead our MATH team, CoE for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. As the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the CoE, driving strategic initiatives, developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting the development of startups within the CoE.
Roadmap & Leadership
- Define, develop, and execute a future-ready, long-term roadmap for the CoE, fully aligned with the organisation's vision, policies, and regulatory frameworks, while proactively responding to evolving industry and innovation trends.
- Position the CoE as a national and global leader in AI & ML by driving deep, outcome- oriented engagement with startups, delivering measurable value creation, and building high- impact result driven programs and research collaborations that accelerate innovation, adoption, and commercialisation.
- Create clear differentiation for the CoE through innovation-led programs, applied research collaborations, deep technical engagement, high-impact startup participation, and focused initiatives on AIML and specific sector focus, positioning the CoE as both a technology leader in AIML and a specific sector specialist.
Governance, Compliance & Performance Management
- Ensure robust governance, compliance, risk management, and performance monitoring frameworks to ensure transparency, accountability, operational excellence, and sustained institutional credibility across all CoE initiatives.
- Ensuring full compliance with program guidelines, reporting requirements, and performance milestones.
- Track and report measurable outcomes including startup success rate, funding raised, jobs created, revenue generated, and ecosystem growth.
- Ensure transparent reporting to stakeholders on impact, financial sustainability, and progress
Startup Programs & Ecosystem Development
- Lead the identification, evaluation, and selection of high-potential AIML startups for incubation, acceleration, and scale-up.
- Design, launch, and scale flagship startup programs, including early-stage incubation programs and growth-stage acceleration programs.
- Enable deep, structured engagement with startups by providing integrated access to high-quality mentorship and domain expertise, advanced technology infrastructure, data, compute, and labs.
- Drive the development of a vibrant AI-first startup ecosystem that attracts founders, talent, capital, and global visibility to Telangana.
Team, Operations & Organisational Culture
- Provide leadership and operational direction to the CoE team, ensuring high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build a high-impact team of program managers, ecosystem leads, and technical experts.
- Establish scalable processes, digital systems, and performance frameworks for efficient operations.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the CoE.
Knowledge Platforms & Brand Building
- Create platforms for knowledge sharing through events, workshops, research publications, demo days, and community programs.
- Strengthen the CoE's brand as a trusted partner for innovation, entrepreneurship, and emerging technologies.
Financial Sustainability
- Responsible for designing, implementing, and scaling a self-sustaining business model that ensures the long-term financial independence of the Center of Excellence (CoE), significantly reducing reliance on grants, space, and sponsorships.
- Develope and execute a diversified revenue streams aligned with the CoE's mission and overall objectives of the organisation.
- Identify, build, and scale non-conflicting earned revenue streams, including but not limited to training programs and digital products.
- Establish recurring and predictable income sources to support core operations andgrowth.
- Drive new vertical partnerships that generate sustainable income without conflict.
- Lead the CoE toward progressive financial self-reliance, with clear year-on-year targets for earned revenue growth.
- Ensure that all revenue activities are supported by strong financial controls, transparency, and accountability.
Fundraising & Government Engagement
- Lead fundraising efforts through Government grants, CSR funding, global programs, and foundations.
- Actively engage with central government authorities to secure the timely disbursement of approved grants.
Qualifications:
- At least 15 years of experience with majority of the experience in the field of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with a deep understanding of industry trends and best practices.
- Proven experience as a profit and loss owner of an entity, demonstrating the ability to manage financial performance and drive self-sustainability.
- Strong track record of deeply engaging with startups, providing mentorship, guidance, and resources to support their growth.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Experience working with central government agencies or in a related or similar organisation is preferable
- Experience working with academic institutions, and industry leaders, and a strong understanding of regulatory, Governance frameworks and policies.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.
