Job Summary
We are hiring experienced CDI Specialists / Subject Matter Experts / QA with strong expertise in Inpatient DRG-focused Clinical Documentation Improvement. The role involves concurrent CDI reviews, DRG reconciliation, compliant querying, and improving documentation quality impacting SOI/ROM, CC/MCC capture, and clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform concurrent CDI reviews, final reviews, and DRG reconciliation
- Identify and report DRG mismatches and documentation gaps
- Conduct inpatient documentation reviews to clarify diagnoses and procedures
- Raise compliant physician queries following AHIMA and ACDIS guidelines
- Ensure accurate SOI/ROM and CC/MCC capture
- Review and analyze HACs, PSIs, and mortality models
- Participate in CDI and IP DRG audits and evaluate CDI KPIs and quality metrics
- Utilize Epic and 3M 360 tools for CDI workflows
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Any Life Science graduate
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in CDI / IP DRG coding with strong inpatient focus
- CCS or CDIP certification Mandatory
- Strong knowledge of APR-DRG / MS-DRG, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS
- Solid understanding of clinical indicators, disease processes, treatments
- Experience handling simple and complex IVR cases
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
