We are building a fast-growing fashion and lifestyle business and are looking for a Category Manager – Apparel to own and scale our apparel category.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for end-to-end category ownership, including brand onboarding, assortment planning, pricing, and inventory management. This role requires a strong mix of fashion understanding, analytics, and execution.
What you will do
Category Ownership
- Own category revenue, margins, and growth targets
- Build and scale the apparel category (men's, women's, basics, streetwear, etc.)
Brand Onboarding & Vendor Management
- Identify, pitch, and onboard relevant apparel brands and manufacturers
- Negotiate pricing, margins, and supply terms
- Build and manage long-term vendor relationships
Assortment & Inventory Planning
- Curate the right product mix based on demand and trends
- Plan inventory, stock depth, and replenishment cycles
- Ensure high availability of fast-moving SKUs and minimize dead stock
Data & Performance Tracking
- Analyze sales, conversion, and demand trends
- Track top-performing and underperforming SKUs
- Drive data-backed decisions to improve category performance
Pricing & Promotions
- Define pricing strategy and discounting frameworks
- Plan and execute campaigns, drops, and promotions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with:
- Operations (inventory & fulfilment)
- Marketing (campaigns & growth)
- Catalogue (product listings)
What we are looking for
- 3–6 years of experience in fashion category management / buying / merchandising (apparel)
- Strong experience in brand onboarding and vendor management
- Good understanding of apparel trends, fabrics, fits, and sizing
- Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or retail
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
