Job Description

1. Category Strategy & Planning

  • Develop the annual operating plan for the Men's Wear category aligned with brand positioning for Gen Z consumers.
  • Identify growth opportunities through trend analysis, competitive mapping, and consumer insights.
  • Set category-wise sales, margin, sell-through, inventory, and OTB targets.

2. Trend & Consumer Insight Integration

  • Track global and Indian fashion trends relevant to Gen Zstreetwear, oversized fits, co-ords, denim innovations, sustainable fabrics, etc.
  • Conduct regular market visits, social listening, influencer trend mapping, and online brand benchmarking.

3. Assortment Planning & Range Building

  • Create season-wise assortment plans by subcategory (tops, bottoms, denim, winterwear, essentials).
  • Balance fashion-forward vs. core essentials based on demand forecast and Gen Z buying behavior.
  • Ensure the right mix of newness, color stories, fits, silhouettes, and price ladders.

4. Product Development & Sourcing

  • Collaborate with design, sourcing, and vendors to develop relevant Men's Wear collections.
  • Ensure cost-efficient sourcing while maintaining quality and speed-to-market.
  • Work with suppliers to introduce innovationfabric, wash techniques, graphics, trims, sustainability.

5. Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Manage product lifecycle from introduction to markdown optimization.
  • Monitor buy plans, and ensure healthy inventory turns.
  • Partner with supply chain teams to drive availability and reduce stock-outs.

6. Pricing & Promotion Strategy

  • Design competitive pricing architecture aligned to value retail format and Gen Z affordability expectations.

7. Business Performance Management

  • Track real-time category performance across channels.
  • Analyse sales trends, customer preferences, store-level feedback, and sell-through reports.
  • Prepare periodic MIS reports and recommend actionable insights.

8. Collaboration & Cross-functional Coordination

  • Work closely with VM to execute category stories in-store.
  • Partner with Marketing for digital-first campaigns, influencer collaborations, and Gen Z-led content strategies.
  • Align with Finance on budgets, margins, and cost controls.

Experience : 8 to 12 Years

Education : Minimum qualification PG / Graduation in Fashion Management, preferably from reputed fashion institute.

  • Strong understanding of Gen Z fashion sensibilities and trend cycles
  • Commercial planning, analytics, and forecasting
  • Assortment planning and product lifecycle management
  • Vendor and sourcing knowledge (domestic & international)
  • Fast-fashion or value retail experience preferred
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and cross-functional coordination
