Job Description

We're looking for a strategic and driven Category Manager to lead and scale high-impact categories at Masai. This is a unique opportunity to work at the crossroads of marketing, sales, and education, shaping how flagship courses reach and enroll thousands of ambitious learners across India.

As a Category Manager, You'll

  • Own and grow the category P&L, driving both scale and profitability.
  • Partner with marketing and growth teams to design innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team from the ground up.
  • Shape how Masai's courses are positioned, sold, and experienced in a competitive EdTech market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category Strategy & Growth
    • Define and execute the growth roadmap for your category.
    • Track KPIs including revenue, enrollments, and learner outcomes.
    • Identify and launch new course opportunities aligned to market demand.
  • Go-to-Market & Sales Leadership
    • Collaborate with marketing to craft impactful campaigns and positioning.
    • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing sales team.
    • Design sales playbooks, outreach strategies, and conversion funnels to maximize enrollments.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Collaboration
    • Work closely with academic, product, and career services teams to ensure category success.
    • Partner with colleges, universities, and industry bodies to expand reach.
  • Learner Experience & Outcomes
    • Ensure category sales efforts are aligned with Masai's mission of delivering learner-first outcomes.
    • Use feedback loops and data to refine positioning, pricing, and delivery.
What We're Looking For

  • 35 years of experience in Category Management, Sales Leadership, or Business Growth, preferably in EdTech, Consumer Tech, or fast-scaling industries.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong commercial acumen with hands-on experience in P&L ownership.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate insights into strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A passion for education, impact, and scaling fast-growing initiatives.
