Our client, a global consulting firm, is partnering with a leading consumer goods company in the kitchenware and kitchen appliances segment on a high-impact growth initiative. The engagement forms part of a broader Sales & Distribution Acceleration program, with a strong focus on significantly scaling the client's e-commerce and quick-commerce business.
They are looking to onboard an experienced Category Manager with deep expertise in kitchenware and kitchen appliances, and strong execution experience across leading e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms. The consultant will work closely with consulting teams and senior client leadership to drive category growth by improving listing quality, optimizing advertising and promotion spend, and strengthening overall category performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the design and execution of the e-commerce growth strategy for kitchenware and kitchen appliances
- Track and analyze sales performance, funnel metrics, and ROI across e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and category diagnostics to identify growth opportunities
- Review and improve listing hygiene, content quality, and discoverability across marketplaces
- Analyze and optimize advertising spend and promotional effectiveness across platforms
- Work closely with consulting teams and client stakeholders to translate insights into actionable recommendations
Your background:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in e-commerce or quick-commerce roles
- Prior experience working with platforms such as Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, or Zepto
- Strong understanding of e-commerce strategy, category management, listing optimisation, and performance marketing
- Proven analytical capability with hands-on experience in data analysis and business insights
- MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute preferred; alternatively, an undergraduate degree from a Tier 1 college
- Experience in consumer goods, kitchenware, or kitchen appliances categories is highly desirable
Other details:
- Location: Bangalore, with the consultant expected to be primarily onsite; occasional market visits outside the city may be required
- Project start: January 1, 2026 (with flexibility for an earlier start)
- Contract duration: 6 months initially, with potential extension up to 12 months based on project needs and performance
- Engagement type: Full-time contractual role, working closely with the consulting firm and the client's leadership team
