Role Description

We are seeking a Global Category Manager for a full-time, on-site role based in Thane. This professional will oversee the management of product categories to optimize growth opportunities and streamline procurement processes. Day-to-day tasks include strategic category planning, analyzing market trends, implementing contract negotiations, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and collaborating with sales teams on key initiatives to enhance performance. The role requires a proactive self-starter who can align product strategies with business objectives and coordinate seamlessly with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and execute category strategies for global marketplaces to maximize revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Manage end-to-end product lifecycle including listing, pricing, promotions, and assortment planning.
  • Conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities in international markets.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance) to ensure smooth execution of category plans.
  • Optimize product listings on platforms like Amazon Global by improving keywords, SEO, and A+ content.
  • Drive sales performance through promotional planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs, analyze sales trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with marketplace regulations, global trade norms, and category-specific requirements.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Category Management to oversee product portfolio strategies and drive growth.
  • Strong Analytical Skills to assess market trends, monitor product performance, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in Contract Negotiation and Procurement to manage supplier relationships and cost-effective purchasing strategies.
  • Knowledge of Sales strategies to collaborate effectively with sales teams in achieving revenue goals.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Experience in e-commerce and exposure to global markets is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field (MBA preferred).
