We are partnering with a large, nationally significant healthcare organisation undergoing major transformation to appoint a Strategic Category Manager within its Procurement & Supply Chain function.

This is a high-impact role managing complex, high-value categories, with multimillion dollar annual spend.

You will play a key role in shaping commercial strategy, driving value, and influencing procurement outcomes across a large and complex healthcare ecosystem.

The Role

You Will

-Lead end-to-end category strategy development and execution

-Drive strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and contract management

-Manage high-value commercial agreements (up to $5M+)

-Partner with senior stakeholders across clinical, operational, and executive teams

-Deliver cost optimisation, innovation, and value creation

-Influence procurement strategy within a large-scale, complex system

Non-Negotiables (Must Have)

To Be Considered, Candidates Must Demonstrate

-8-10+ years experience in:

-Category Management

-Strategic Sourcing

-Procurement leadership

-Proven experience managing large, complex spend categories

-Strong track record in:

-Contract negotiation

-Supplier relationship management

-Commercial strategy execution

-Demonstrated ability to:

-Develop and implement category strategies

-Deliver measurable cost savings and value creation

-Strong stakeholder management across senior leadership and cross-functional teams

-Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business or related field

-Ability to operate in a complex, highly regulated environment

Highly Desirable

Experience in:

-Healthcare / hospital systems

-FMCG / manufacturing procurement environments

Exposure to:

-Multinational or multi-site operations

-Large-scale transformation or centralisation initiatives

Relocation Requirement

-This is an international opportunity

-Candidates must be willing to relocate outside of India

-Mobility, adaptability, and long-term relocation interest are essential
