We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Mumbai, India.

Job Purpose:

  • Activities include service sourcing, supplier selection, pricing/terms negotiation, order processing, contract negotiation & administration, drive sub-regional category strategy, and supplier performance management,
  • Implement best local / sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to ensure, identify and recommend best in class suppliers and maintain good relationship. Prepare and lead supplier negotiations at local level (globally).
  • Established and maintain country stakeholder business relationship and represent GBS Procurement in the Marketing & Professional Services category, specialized in the field of Customs

Your tasks:

  • Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research / intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets and establishment of regional and country frame contracts.
  • Support sourcing opportunities and assist in the development of supplier relationships.
  • Co-ordinate sourcing activities for Customs within DHL in countries where local sourcing is required (e.g. Language issues)
  • Integrate Procurement into business planning and thinking via effective influencing skills.
  • Achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization and efficiency from all procurement activities and ensuring fulfillment of joint goals with internal business partner by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price and service.
  • Specialize in strategic sourcing of services in the field of Customs and Customs Brokerage in order to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business / function in scope
  • Manage initial sourcing engagement and identify customer specific challenges. Project monitoring & escalation to management.
  • Support development of Customs sourcing as a dedicated and sustainable product within GBS procurement.
  • Share best practices within GBS procurement.
  • Ensure required compliance regulations are adhered to, including respective governance and risk management implications.
  • Have a basic understanding of the business values of our engagements with customers (gain share, management fee, consultancy fee ).
  • Be an interactive and participative team member within the Marketing & Professional Services Procurement community.

Your profile:

  • Fluent in English (Written/Verbal), other languages desirable but not essential.
  • Experience and expertise in the area of Customs / Customs Brokerage within or outside of DHL.
  • Procurement background with specialization in Services, Customs and Logistics services.
  • Ability to manage a complex project under time pressure.
  • Passionate to work in an agile environment and ability to adjust to changing requirements.
  • High degree of customer orientation.
  • Project management skills, negotiation experience desirable.
  • Passionately driving own ideas and convincing people of the value of the procurement offering.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team.

Education Level:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/qualification

Experience Level:

more than 8-10 years experience
