Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated candidate to manage our Category ITAD to oversee the strategic direction and overall performance of a specific category within our organization.

As the Category Head, you will be responsible for managing a team, developing and executing category plans, and driving growth and profitability within the assigned category.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, operations, and product development, will be essential to ensure alignment and achievement of our business objectives.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop a long-term plan and strategy for the development of the assigned category.
  • Build strong relationships with buyer and seller teams to ensure effective collaboration and execution of category plans.
  • Take ownership of the P&L for the managed category, driving growth and profitability..
  • Manage key customer relationships, develop multiple sales channels, and optimize omni channel sales to maximize revenue.
  • Utilize analytics and data-driven experimentation to identify growth areas and execute strategies for the category.
  • Lead a team of mid to senior-level professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Possess experience and knowledge of assortment in multiple geographies, which is an added advantage.
  • Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organizational partnerships to enhance the category's offerings.
  • Demonstrate a high level of ownership, emotional intelligence, and the ability to set up processes from scratch.
  • Leverage industry knowledge of B2B industries, specifically in plastic and paper recycling.
  • Prioritize customer satisfaction and optimize customer experience within the assigned category.

Preferred Candidate Profile

  • Expertise in category management.
  • In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes.
  • Analytical and critical thinker.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

Work Experience

  • 8+ years of work experience & Deep industry knowledge of B2B Industries.
  • Astute business sense and analytical ability with great articulation skills.
  • Prior operations and project/vendor-management experience

Knowledge/ Skills

  • High level of ownership, willingness to set up things from scratch, high emotional intelligence.
  • Superior research skills and resourcefulness to draw logical conclusions with often limited information.
  • Knowledge/work experience in plastic, and paper recycling.
  • Excellent planning skills, analytical ability, and lateral thinking ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and work in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication & Good people management skills.
  • Addressing market needs and challenges.
