About the Role

We are looking for a strong and strategic Category Head Influencer Marketing to spearhead growth, revenue, and brand partnerships within a specific category (Beauty, Fashion, Gaming, Tech, FMCG, etc.).

This is a leadership role involving P&L ownership, category expansion, key client management, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration with the Planning, Pricing, and Campaign Management teams.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in influencer marketing, strong brand relationships, and the ability to build a category into a high-performing vertical.

Key Responsibilities

1. Category Strategy & Growth

  • Build and execute the growth strategy for the assigned category.
  • Identify high-potential brands and emerging opportunities within the category.
  • Own category P&L, revenue targets, and forecasting.
  • Develop annual and quarterly business plans to scale the category.

2. Business Development & Brand Partnerships

  • Lead end-to-end acquisition of brands in the category.
  • Build strong CXO-level and brand-manager relationships.
  • Pitch, negotiate, and close high-ticket influencer marketing deals.
  • Represent the category during internal and external reviews.

3. Client Management & Retention

  • Oversee client onboarding, campaign planning, and execution through internal teams.
  • Solve escalations proactively by aligning stakeholders.
  • Ensure high delivery quality, client retention, and upsell opportunities.
  • Track brand health, repeat business, and category NPS.

4. Category Leadership & Industry Knowledge

  • Act as the category expertdeeply understand trends, competitor activity, and creator landscape.
  • Build category playbooks, case studies, and best practices for internal use.
  • Identify and nurture top creators relevant to the category (in collaboration with Planning/Pricing teams).

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Planning and Strategy for creator recommendations and campaign ideas.
  • Collaborate with Pricing teams to ensure competitive yet profitable rates.
  • Partner with Campaign Management to ensure flawless execution.
  • Provide feedback loops to internal teams to continuously improve processes.

6. Team Building & Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of category managers, sales managers, and associates.
  • Set team KPIs, review performance, and drive accountability.
  • Guide the team on pitch strategy, negotiation, and category understanding.

Requirements

  • 610+ years of experience in influencer marketing, digital marketing, brand partnerships, or category leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of revenue ownership and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong relationships with brands, agencies, and category stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of influencer ecosystems, pricing dynamics, and creator behavior.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to lead teams and work in a fast-paced environment.
