Job Summary Are you passionate about leveraging data-driven insights to curate compelling product catalogs and drive sales in the dynamic landscape of eCommerce Join our team as a Catalog Executive, where you'll lead the strategic management and optimization of our online retail platform's product listings. As a key player in our catalog management team, you'll harness your expertise in content optimization, competitive analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure an engaging and seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Catalog Management: Create and update product listings on major eCommerce platforms like Myntra, Ajio, Nykaa, Amazon, Tatacliq, Limeroad,etc ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all categories/platforms. Utilize 3P (Third Party marketplace) awareness to effectively manage product listings on external platforms.
  • Content Optimization: Optimize product titles, descriptions, and images to improve search visibility, drive traffic, and enhance conversion rates. Utilize product/brand research knowledge to create compelling and informative content.
  • Data Entry and Validation: Accurately input product information into the database and validate data integrity to ensure a seamless online shopping experience for customers. Utilize Excel skills to organize and efficiently manage catalog data.
  • Timely Optimization and Compliance: Ensure timely product listing optimization, data accuracy, and copyright content awareness to maintain catalog integrity.
  • Competitor Research: Perform competitor price research and monitor industry trends to identify best practices and benchmark performance. Utilize competitor research insights to adjust pricing strategies and stay competitive in the market.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek feedback from stakeholders and explore new tools or technologies to streamline catalog management processes and enhance efficiency. Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in training sessions or workshops to enhance skills and knowledge related to catalog management and eCommerce trends.
  • Customer Focus: Maintain a customer-centric approach in all catalog-related activities, prioritizing the delivery of accurate and engaging product information to enhance the overall shopping experience.
  • Training and Development: Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in catalog management and eCommerce. Participate in training sessions or workshops focused on enhancing skills relevant to catalog management, such as data analysis, content optimization, and competitor research. Seek opportunities to expand knowledge of product categories and market dynamics to better inform catalog strategies and decision-making. Collaborate with team members to share insights and learnings from training experiences, fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the catalog management team

By fulfilling these roles and responsibilities, the Catalog Executive will contribute to the success of our eCommerce platform and play a crucial role in driving sales and customer satisfaction

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Prior Cataloging Experience: Prior experience in catalog management or related roles is a must, demonstrating competence in managing product listings, optimizing content, and ensuring catalog accuracy.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail and accuracy in data entry, content creation, and image editing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets: Ability to utilize spreadsheet software for data organization, analysis, and reporting.
  • Photoshop Skills: Basic proficiency in Photoshop or similar image editing software to make necessary adjustments to product images.
  • Content Creation: Basic understanding of content creation principles and the ability to write clear and engaging product descriptions.
  • eCommerce Knowledge: Familiarity with ecommerce platforms and an understanding of online shopping trends and consumer behavior.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate product information clearly to customers.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, tools, or priorities as needed in a dynamic work environment.
