About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Catalog Manager to oversee end-to-end product catalog operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that product listings are accurate, standardized, and consistently updated across the platform. This role involves close collaboration with manufacturers, internal operations teams, and engineering/AI teams to manage product data ingestion, validation, and publication at scale.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the complete product catalog lifecycle, from data ingestion to final publication across categories.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to collect updated product specifications, pricing, images, and technical documentation.
- Design, implement, and maintain data workflows for catalog updates, including product additions, revisions, and deletions.
- Define and enforce catalog data standards, including naming conventions, metadata structures, and taxonomy consistency.
- Implement robust quality assurance checks to ensure product data completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to automate and streamline data ingestion and update pipelines.
- Monitor and maintain catalog health metrics, including duplicate entries, missing attributes, and outdated product information.
- Manage and mentor a team of data entry and QA specialists, ensuring productivity and data quality benchmarks are met.
Required Qualifications- 36 years of experience in catalog management, product listings, or product information management (PIM) within an e-commerce or data-driven environment.
- Strong working knowledge of SKU management, product attribute structures, and taxonomy standardization.
- Hands-on experience managing large datasets using Excel, Google Sheets, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with PIM systems, CMS platforms, Airtable, or custom admin dashboards.
- Experience handling and interpreting manufacturer-provided datasheets, images, and technical product documentation.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Preferred / Bonus Skills- Experience with automation tools, APIs, or basic database querying (SQL).
- Exposure to integrating product data from multiple sources and formats such as PDFs, CSV, XLSX, and supplier portals.
- Experience working in environments that involve AI-assisted data processing or catalog enrichment.
