Role Description
The Cashier role at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) is a full-time, on-site position based in Patna. The Cashier will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service. Other duties include reconciling daily transactions, handling cash, cheques, and digital payments securely, as well as assisting in preparing daily and monthly financial reports. This position requires attention to detail, integrity, and professionalism in financial dealings.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in cash handling, point-of-sale systems, and reconciliation of accounts
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and experience using financial software
- Excellent customer service skills, including clear communication and problem-solving
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial recordkeeping
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
- Experience in an educational or organizational setting is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is beneficial
