Job Description

Job Purpose

  • To assist in the development and rollout of new and specialized product categories that align with Air India Cargo's long term strategic goals.
  • To support the innovation and enhancement of Air India's cargo services by integrating maret research, product design, and operational efficiency

Key Accountabilities

Product Development Support

  • Contribute to the design, development and marketing of specialized cargo offerings such as perishables, pharmaceuticals, and express delivery service
  • Ensure product concepts are aligned with customer needs, market demand, and Air India Cargo's strategic objectives

Operational Implementation

  • Assist in managing and overseeing of product rollout activities, ensuring seamless operationl integration across the cargo network
  • Coordinate with operations teams to establish efficient handling processes for specialized cargo categories

Market Analysis

  • Conduct competitor analysis and industry benchmarking to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and best practices for new products
  • Provide insights that inform product positioning, differentiation, and continuous innovation
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Key Account Management (KAM) and Operations, to tailor products to key accounts and ensure seamless service delivery

Performance Monitoring

  • Help establish KPIs and develop systems to track the performance of new products, contributing to continuous improvement and alignment with business goals

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal teams, including Key Account Management (KAM) and Operations, to tailor product solutions to key accounts and ensure seamless service deliver

Education & Experience requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Sales, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales or key account management role, preferably within the cargo or airline industry in managing sales and developing client relationships in the aviation or logistics sectors
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regional market dynamics and extensive experience in cargo sales management
