About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Career Services Manager to support students successful transition from learning to global employment opportunities. This pivotal role combines career coaching, program design, employer engagement, and strategic leadership to enhance career outcomes for learners and alumni.
Key Responsibilities
Employer & Industry Engagement
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with global industry professionals and employer partners to create job, internship, and capstone project opportunities.
- Actively source paid internship opportunities and industry-aligned projects with competitive stipends, especially with US-based companies.
- Collaborate with HR and recruiting teams across global organizations to understand hiring needs and maximize placement success.
Career Guidance & Student Support
- Provide personalized career support including job search strategies, resume reviews, cover letter assistance, and interview preparation.
- Advise students and alumni on professional growth, career pathways, and employment trends.
- Maintain a student-centric approach grounded in empathy, adaptability, and measurable outcomes.
Program Planning & Delivery
- Lead design and delivery of career development workshops and events — examples include resume building, interview mastery, networking strategies, and professional etiquette.
- Plan and execute career fairs, guest speaker sessions, and networking events that connect learners with industry leaders.
Career Portal & Technology
- Lead the development and enhancement of a Career Portal — a central hub for all internships, job listings, and student applications.
- Use career management systems and CRM tools to track employer interactions, opportunities, and placement metrics.
Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor, analyze, and report on career outcomes such as placement rates, internship conversions, and other key career metrics.
- Use data to refine career services strategies, programs, and employer engagement efforts.
Collaboration & Integration
- Work closely with faculty, academic advisors, and internal stakeholders to integrate career readiness throughout the student experience.
- Support alumni with ongoing resources for professional development and community engagement.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, or related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in career services, HR, recruitment, or related roles — preferably in education or corporate settings.
- Proven experience establishing and managing partnerships with global employers and industry contacts.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
- Excellent strategic planning, project management, and organizational capabilities.
- Deep understanding of job markets, employment trends, and career progression strategies.
- Proficiency with career management systems, job portals, and CRM tools for tracking employer relations and student outcomes.
