By working with a limited cohort each year, we prioritize depth over volume, ensuring strong relationships with students, families, and schools. Our focus is not just admissions success, but long-term fit and fulfillment.

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Career Counsellor to join our growing team. This is a hybrid position based in Mumbai, with some remote flexibility.

This role blends mentorship, strategy, writing, and project management. You will work closely with students and families to shape application journeys that are thoughtful, ethical, and competitive.

Key Responsibilities1. Personalized Student Mentorship
  • Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions
  • Help students explore majors, universities, and career paths
  • Administer and interpret psychometric assessments
  • Develop individualized application strategies
  • Prepare students for interviews and admissions tests
2. Application Strategy & Writing Excellence
  • Provide deep expertise in Common App essays, personal statements, and supplemental responses
  • Brainstorm ideas and provide developmental feedback
  • Edit essays thoughtfully while preserving authentic student voice
  • Support resumes, Letters of Continued Interest (LOCI), and brag sheets
  • Review complete applications for clarity, positioning, and accuracy
3. Process Management & Communication
  • Create and manage application timelines
  • Keep students accountable to key milestones
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with families
  • Follow up with universities when required
  • Build positive relationships with schools and institutions
4. Staying Current & Contributing to Growth
  • Track evolving admissions trends across regions
  • Maintain familiarity with international education systems
  • Use student outcomes and feedback to refine approach
  • Contribute to a culture of knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement
What We're Looking For

You are a strong fit if you:

  • Have 3+ years of experience in college counseling or admissions
  • Possess expertise in career counseling and student development
  • Understand global undergraduate admissions landscapes
  • Communicate exceptionally well, both written and verbal
  • Balance empathy with accountability
  • Thrive in a collaborative startup environment
  • Value integrity in essay development, without relying on shortcuts

Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in Counseling, Education, Psychology, or a related field, and exposure to international education systems.
