About The Opportunity
Healthcare Tertiary Cardiology & Clinical Services. A rapidly scaling clinical practice in Punjab focused on comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac care, including interventional cardiology, advanced cardiac imaging, electrophysiology, and emergency cardiac services. We are expanding our on-site clinical team to deliver evidence-based, high-acuity cardiac care across the region.
Role: Consultant Cardiologist (DM/DNB) On-site (Punjab, India)
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient cardiology consults, diagnostic evaluation, and long-term clinical management for adult cardiac patients.
- Lead and perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cath lab (coronary angiography, PCI) with strict adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
- Perform and interpret advanced cardiac imaging and monitoring TTE/TEE, ECG/Holter, stress testing to guide treatment plans.
- Manage electrophysiology-related procedures including permanent pacemaker and ICD implantation and follow-up care.
- Respond to cardiac emergencies and provide leadership in acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, and arrhythmia management; participate in on-call rota as required.
- Contribute to clinical governance: maintain documentation, participate in multidisciplinary meetings, mentor junior doctors, and support quality-improvement and protocol development.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DM (Cardiology) or DNB/DrNB in Cardiology from a recognized Indian board and active registration with a State Medical Council.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in interventional cardiology and cath lab procedures; prior independent procedure experience post-super-specialty (clinical experience preferred).
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification and proven competence managing acute cardiac emergencies.
Preferred
- Fellowship or additional training in interventional cardiology or electrophysiology.
- Experience in device implantation programs and post-implant follow-up clinics.
- Track record of clinical audits, published case-reports/research, or involvement in teaching and mentoring.
