The L&D Manager role sits at the intersection of technology, people capability and organisational change, with a strong focus on building leadership, culture and talent at scale.
Impact and contribution: The Capability, Learning, Talent and Leadership Manager is accountable for defining and strengthening the leadership and learning strategyfor CBA India, ensuring our workforce has the skills, mindsets and capabilities required to deliver current and future business outcomes. The role leads the end-to-end design, execution and evolution of skilling and capability programs, while also contributing to broader organisational design, process, culture and change initiatives. Working closely with local and global leaders, the role ensures learning investments translate into measurable capability uplift, improved skilling effectiveness and business impact.
Your Reporting Lines: The role position reports into the Senior Manager - L&D
Your Responsibilities:
Partner with business leaders and HR teams to understand strategic priorities and translate them into impactful learning, leadership and capability initiatives that build a future-ready workforce.
Design and deliver leadership, behavioural and soft-skills capability programs that strengthen leadership effectiveness, collaboration, psychological safety and a strong organisational culture aligned to enterprise values.
Drive initiatives that embed cultural and behavioural change, supporting new ways of working, leadership expectations and high-performance team environments.
Lead end-to-end learning solution development, including needs analysis, program design, vendor collaboration, implementation, measurement and continuous improvement.
Support organisational transformation and change initiatives, including technology adoption, workforce transitions, role evolution and capability uplift.
Develop modern blended learning experiences, including facilitated workshops, digital learning, learning pathways, podcasts, toolkits and communications that enhance learner engagement and retention.
Partner with internal SMEs, external vendors and stakeholders to co-create relevant skilling solutions that deliver measurable impact and business outcomes.
Lead and manage cross-functional projects that drive capability uplift, leadership effectiveness, culture initiatives and sustainable change.
Measure learning impact and effectiveness, using feedback, data and insights to continuously refine programs and ensure alignment to business priorities.
Stay current with emerging trends in learning, leadership development and organisational capability, ensuring solutions remain contemporary, evidence-based and aligned with enterprise priorities.
Embed strong governance and risk practices, understanding the team's risk and controls profile and applying appropriate oversight to manage non-financial risk.
Contribute to enterprise capability priorities, supporting initiatives that strengthen leadership pipelines, workforce capability and organisational effectiveness.
Your Skills and Experience
10+ years of relevant experience in learning and organisational capability, leadership development or talent development roles.
Professional certifications in coaching, facilitation, learning design or organisational development are highly regarded.
Extensive experience in learning and capability development, including learning consulting, needs analysis, instructional design, facilitation and program evaluation within complex organisational environments.
Strong capability in leadership and behavioural skills development, with experience designing and delivering programs focused on soft skills, leadership effectiveness, collaboration, communication and culture.
Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders, including business leaders, HR and People teams, to diagnose capability gaps and translate business strategy into impactful learning and leadership development initiatives.
Experience working in global organisations, with the ability to navigate matrix environments and collaborate across multiple teams and geographies.
Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure learning effectiveness and report program impact using tools such as Excel, Power BI or similar reporting platforms.
Proficiency in modern learning technologies, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), digital learning platforms and online skilling ecosystems.
Excellent communication, facilitation and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leaders, facilitate learning experiences and drive behavioural change.
Ability to design and deliver blended learning solutions, combining workshops, digital learning, experiential learning and other modern learning approaches.
Qualifications: Graduation or Post Graduation from Tier 1 Management School (Preferred)
