Job Description

Job Title: Campaign Strategist

Reporting To: Vice President – Digital Marketing

Location: Kurla

Experience: 7-8 years in a creative / digital / integrated agency

Role Overview

We are looking for a Campaign Strategist who can independently lead brand narratives, pitch strategies, and integrated campaign thinking for key clients. This role is ideal for someone who operates at the intersection of consumer insight, creative strategy, and business objectives, without the overhead of a traditional Creative Director role.

The Campaign Strategist will be a hands-on strategic leader – owning pitch thinking, structuring decks, and guiding creative teams – while working closely with copy, design, business, and performance teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Create & Pitch Business Strategy

  • Own end-to-end campaign strategy for pitches, RFPs, and annual brand plans
  • Translate client briefs into clear strategic frameworks, big ideas, and content ecosystems
  • Lead narrative building for pitch decks including:
  • Brand insight & problem framing
  • Campaign idea articulation
  • Platform-first thinking (Digital / Social / Influencer / Performance-led)
  • Act as the strategic anchor during pitch presentations, alongside business leads

2. Campaign & Brand Strategy

  • Develop integrated campaign strategies across:
  • Digital films
  • Social & influencer-led campaigns
  • Always-on and moment-based activations
  • Performance-backed creative ideas
  • Ensure strategies are grounded in:
  • Consumer behaviour & cultural insights
  • Platform relevance
  • Brand tonality and business objectives
  • Bring clarity and structure to complex or ambiguous briefs

3. Creative Collaboration

  • Brief copywriters, designers, and motion teams with clear strategic direction
  • Act as a strategic sounding board for creative ideas – ¯not just a reviewer
  • Ensure creative outputs remain on-strategy and on-brief, without micromanaging execution
  • Collaborate closely with:
  • Creative teams (Copy, Art, Motion)
  • Business & Account Management
  • Influencer Marketing & Performance teams

4. Client & Internal Stakeholder Management

  • Participate in client discussions where strategic thinking is required
  • Articulate and defend strategic choices with confidence and logic
  • Work closely with leadership to:
  • Identify gaps in pitch narratives
  • Improve win ratios
  • Strengthen the agency's strategic POV
  • Maintain transparency on workload, timelines, and dependencies

5. Process & Ownership

  • Manage multiple briefs and pitches in parallel with strong ownership and prioritisation
  • Ensure timely handovers, documentation, and follow-through
  • Uphold agency processes, timelines, and accountability standards
  • Mentor junior team members on strategic thinking and campaign planning

What This Role Is NOT

  • This is not a people-heavy Creative Director role
  • This role does not require managing large teams or layers
  • This is a strategy-first, hands-on role focused on thinking, structure, and leadership in pitches and campaigns

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in:
  • Creative agencies / Digital agencies / Integrated agencies
  • Proven experience leading:
  • Pitch strategies
  • Brand campaigns
  • Integrated digital-first ideas
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Digital & social ecosystems
  • Influencer marketing
  • Performance-led creative thinking
  • Excellent skills in:
  • Strategic storytelling
  • Deck structuring & presentations
  • Verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines without compromising quality
  • High level of ownership, integrity, and transparency

Preferred Background

  • Experience working on BFSI, consumer brands, retail, or large digital-first accounts
  • Exposure to annual planning, long-term brand strategy, and always-on ecosystems
  • Someone who enjoys building clarity in chaos
