Job Description

  • The Cafe Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cafe, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction, and managing the staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • This role involves a combination of leadership, operational, and customer service responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
  1. Operations Management:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily cafe operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of food and beverage quality, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies to ensure sufficient stock.
  1. Staff Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise cafe staff.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  1. Customer Service:
  • Ensure a welcoming and customer-friendly atmosphere.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Monitor and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage budgets, including cost control measures.
  • Track sales, analyze financial reports, and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Implement pricing strategies in coordination with senior management.
  1. Menu Development:
  • Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to develop and update the cafe menu.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and incorporate popular items into the menu.
  1. Marketing and Promotion:
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
  • Coordinate promotions, events, and partnerships to increase cafe visibility.
  1. Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Stay informed about licensing requirements and ensure the cafe operates within legal guidelines.
  1. Administrative Tasks:
  • Handle administrative duties such as payroll, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and employee hours.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in cafe or restaurant management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage industry trends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial management and budgeting.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Bachelor s degree in hospitality management or a related field (preferred).
