Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CAE Crash Simulation Engineer with 4–6 years of experience in crashworthiness and impact simulations. The ideal candidate should possess strong engineering fundamentals, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience in finite element analysis (FEA) using industry-standard pre-processing and solver tools. The role requires ownership of simulation activities, the ability to analyze simulation and test results, and recommend engineering improvements while ensuring high-quality and timely project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform crashworthiness and impact simulations using LS-DYNA (Implicit & Explicit).
- Develop, prepare, and validate finite element models for crash analysis.
- Utilize pre-processing tools such as HyperMesh, HyperWorks, LS-PrePost, and Primer for model preparation.
- Analyze simulation and physical test results, identify root causes, and recommend design improvements.
- Take complete ownership of assigned deliverables and support team activities to ensure project success.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality simulation results while adhering to project requirements.
- Develop and implement efficient simulation methodologies to improve productivity and quality.
- Handle multiple simulation activities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve design and simulation challenges.
- Continuously learn and adopt new simulation methods, tools, and engineering processes.
- Adapt to changing project requirements and be willing to work in shifts when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–6 years of experience in CAE Crash Simulation or Crashworthiness Analysis.
- Strong engineering fundamentals and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Hands-on experience with LS-DYNA (Implicit & Explicit).
- Proficiency in one or more pre-processing tools:
- HyperMesh
- HyperWorks
- LS-PrePost
- Primer
- Strong understanding of finite element modeling and crash simulation methodologies.
- Ability to interpret simulation and physical test results and provide engineering recommendations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently with ownership and accountability.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Abaqus is an added advantage.
- Experience in Seatbelt Simulation and Seatbelt Product Development is highly desirable.
- Experience with crash safety systems or occupant restraint simulations is preferred.
- Relevant CAE certifications or additional technical qualifications will be an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Automotive Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- or a related discipline.
