Job Description

Role: CAE Engineer – NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness)

Experience: 4-6 Years

Location: Bengaluru

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled CAE Engineer with 4-6 years of experience in Noise, Vibration & Harshness (NVH) analysis. The candidate should have hands-on experience in finite element modelling, structural dynamics, modal analysis, and vibration analysis using CAE tools.

The ideal candidate should have experience in automotive or mechanical engineering simulation projects and a good understanding of structural behaviour, vibration characteristics, and engineering fundamentals.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Perform CAE pre-processing, solver execution, and post-processing activities as per project requirements.
  • Conduct Modal Analysis to evaluate natural frequencies and mode shapes of components and assemblies.
  • Perform vibration and structural dynamics analysis to assess component performance.
  • Work on NVH simulations to identify resonance issues and vibration-related concerns.
  • Prepare finite element models using HyperMesh, equivalent pre-processing tools.
  • Work with solvers such as OptiStruct, Nastran, depending on project requirements.
  • Analyze simulation results and prepare technical reports with recommendations for design improvement.
  • Collaborate with design, testing, and validation teams to correlate simulation results with physical test data.
  • Ensure model quality, accuracy, and adherence to project-specific engineering standards.

Required Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in CAE / FEA with NVH-related analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in modal analysis, natural frequency, and mode shape evaluation.
  • Knowledge of structural dynamics and vibration fundamentals.
  • Experience with HyperMesh, ANSA, or equivalent pre-processing tools.
  • Working knowledge of OptiStruct, Nastran, Abaqus, or ANSYS solvers.
  • Understanding of finite element modelling, meshing, boundary conditions, and material properties.
  • Ability to interpret simulation results and prepare technical documentation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in automotive NVH projects.
  • Knowledge of frequency response analysis, harmonic response, and random vibration.
  • Exposure to experimental modal analysis and test–CAE correlation.
  • Familiarity with CAD tools such as CATIA or Siemens NX.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
