Key Responsibilities
Perform finite element (FE) modeling and meshing of structural components using NX-CAE.
Develop models and conduct linear and nonlinear static analyses using Nastran solver.
Execute modal, buckling, bolt joint and fatigue analyses in accordance with project requirements.
Ensure model accuracy through thorough mesh quality checks, material property verification, and load/boundary condition validation.
Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations summarizing methodologies, results, and recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support design validation, optimization, and product improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience
35 years of hands-on experience in FEA and CAE analysis within a heavy engineering environment.
Proven expertise in NX-CAE for 2D and 3D meshing, mid-surfacing, and mesh quality assessment.
Strong working knowledge of Nastran for structural analysis and optimization.
Proficiency in linear, nonlinear, and dynamic analyses of metallic and composite structures.
Solid understanding of material modeling, boundary conditions, and load applications typical in heavy engineering.
Familiarity with additional solvers such as OptiStruct and Abaqus
Demonstrated capability in fatigue life estimation and durability analysis.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
