The Civil/Architectural Trainer is responsible for training students and professionals in the use of computer-aided design (CAD) software relevant to the Construction industry. This role involves conducting classroom and online sessions, designing curriculum, and helping learners develop practical CAD skills to prepare them for industry requirements.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging training sessions on Civil CAD software (e. g., AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, SketchUp, Etabs, StaadPro, Lumion, etc. ).
- Develop, update, and deliver comprehensive training programs, manuals, and materials tailored to mechanical engineering design.
- Provide hands-on demonstrations, workshops, and project-based learning experiences.
- Assess the progress and performance of trainees, providing feedback and mentorship as needed.
- Offer technical assistance, troubleshooting, and support during practical sessions.
- Stay current with changes in CAD software, industry standards, and technological advancements.
- Customize instructional methods based on student proficiency and learning styles.
- Organize and supervise practical projects to enhance applied learning.
- Maintain training records and generate progress reports.
- Coordinate with other trainers and management for continuous improvement of training modules.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil/Architectural Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- Proficiency in major civil CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, SketchUp, Etabs, StaadPro, Lumion, etc. ), demonstrated by certifications or substantial hands-on experience.
- Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to break down and explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
