Role Description:

We are hiring a CAD Automation Lead for a full-time hybrid role based in Chennai, with partial remote flexibility.

  • This role focuses on advancing CAD automation initiatives across Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, and Industrial engineering programs.
  • You will design and implement rule-based and parametric automation solutions, develop scalable Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) frameworks, and establish structured methodologies for large assemblies and configuration control.
  • As a hands-on technical leader, you will drive modeling efficiency, enforce standard part and material compliance, and support release readiness through automated validation systems.
  • The role requires close collaboration with cross functional teams to integrate automation solutions within enterprise environments while maintaining high standards of design quality and compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Strong exposure to automation or knowledge-based engineering
  • Hands-on experience in CAD scripting or API development (VBA, EKL, CAA, Python, or equivalent)
  • Proven experience building rule-based or parametric automation solutions in enterprise CAD environments
  • Strong understanding of large assembly management, configuration control, and engineering standards enforcement
  • Experience integrating CAD workflows with PLM systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including debugging complex feature dependencies
  • Ability to mentor engineers and drive automation initiatives across programs
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related engineering discipline
