Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Accounting

  • Prepare and finalize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IND-AS / IFRS / IGAAP.
  • Ensure accurate entries in the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
  • Manage consolidation of accounts for group entities (if applicable).

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Ensure timely filing of GST, TDS, Income Tax Returns, and other regulatory filings.
  • Maintain compliance with Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and other applicable regulations.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.

3. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Monitor and control expenses in line with budgetary constraints.
  • Provide financial projections and scenario planning support to management.

4. Audit & Internal Controls

  • Coordinate internal, statutory, tax, and GST audits.
  • Implement and monitor internal controls, SOPs, and risk mitigation practices.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies and process inefficiencies.

5. Taxation & Financial Planning

  • Handle direct and indirect taxation, including tax assessments and appeals.
  • Provide tax planning guidance to minimize liabilities while ensuring compliance.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and financial regulations.

6. MIS & Business Support

  • Prepare and present periodic MIS reports, dashboards, and financial insights for decision-making.
  • Support business units with cost analysis, pricing models, and profitability studies.
  • Assist in strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and fund-raising (if applicable).

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) from ICAI
  • 08+ years of relevant experience depending on the role (Fresher to Senior CA)

Desirable:

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, Tally, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems
  • Additional qualifications like CS, CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance) are a plus

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance
  • High attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, financial modeling, and ERP tools
  • Ability to manage deadlines and multitask under pressure
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ethical integrity and professional accountability
