Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, Cash Flow).
Conducting variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and identifying key drivers of financial performance.
Preparing trend analysis and other financial reports for management review.
Supporting the closing of ledgers for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic financial forecasts.
Monitoring actual performance against budgets and highlighting deviations.
Contributing to long-term strategic financial planning.
Reconciliation & Compliance:
Performing regular reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts (e.g., bank, intercompany, vendor/customer ledgers).
Identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
Assisting in the preparation of documentation for statutory and internal audits.
Understanding and ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies.
Process Improvement & Automation:
Identifying opportunities for process improvements within the finance function.
Assisting in the automation of financial processes and procedures.
Contributing to the implementation of new financial systems or tools.
Taxation (Direct & Indirect):
Assisting with the preparation and filing of various tax returns (e.g., Income Tax, GST, TDS).
Supporting tax computations and compliance activities.
Keeping updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
Other Finance Functions (may vary based on company):
Assisting in treasury management, cash flow forecasting, and working capital management.
Supporting costing, product pricing, and profitability analysis.
Involvement in corporate finance activities like due diligence or mergers & acquisitions.
Participating in special projects and ad-hoc analysis as assigned by the finance leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Must be a CA Intermediate (IPCC) qualified student.
Eligible to undertake Industrial Training for the stipulated period (9-12 months) as per ICAI guidelines.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles (e.g., IND AS, IFRS, GAAP).
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially Excel (advanced functions, data analysis).
Familiarity with accounting software/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
