We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Statutory Audit Executive to join our client's growing CA firm in Ahmedabad. This role offers strong exposure to large-scale statutory audits and regulatory compliance assignments across diverse industries. The ideal candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality audit engagements while working closely with partners, senior professionals, and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and execute statutory audit engagements from planning to finalization
- Handle audits of medium to large entities, including companies with turnover exceeding 500 Crores
- Review financial statements to ensure compliance with applicable Accounting Standards and regulatory frameworks
- Conduct risk assessments and perform risk-based audit procedures
- Ensure compliance with:
- Companies Act
- Income Tax Act
- GST Regulations
- FEMA and other applicable laws
- Prepare detailed audit documentation, working papers, and draft reports
- Coordinate directly with clients to understand accounting systems, internal controls, and business processes
- Identify control gaps and provide practical, value-added recommendations
- Support partners and seniors in complex assignments and client advisory matters
- Ensure timely completion of audits while maintaining high professional and ethical standards
Requirements
- Strong command over statutory audit methodology and compliance requirements
- Mandatory exposure to audits of large entities (500 Crores+ turnover)
- Working knowledge of:
- Taxation & GST
- Corporate Law & FEMA regulations
- Risk-based audit approach
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel and audit/accounting software
- Excellent documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred (Good to Have)
- Exposure to forensic audits
- Experience in due diligence or valuation assignments
- Involvement in litigation support or special audit engagements
