Role Overview:
The GGRE Data Support Analyst provides day-to-day maintenance of seismic and well data pipelines, data quality monitoring, and data loading activities within the GGRE petro-technical environment. This role is integral to ensuring high-quality subsurface data availability for geoscientists and reservoir engineers across global business units.
Key Responsibilities:
Load seismic data and well logs, direction survey, check short, etc., into subsurface data management platforms (e.g., Petrel Studio, Techlog)
Perform data quality checks (QC) and quality control on loaded datasets, flag and resolve anomalies
Support data governance, compliance, and standards tracking for GGRE data assets
Monitor data pipeline health, respond to L1/L2 data loading incidents via ServiceNow
Maintain data storage, access controls, and distribution records for subsurface data
Document data loading procedures and maintain knowledge base articles
Coordinate with geoscience SMEs for data validation and sign-off
Support user provisioning and access management for GGRE data platforms
Assist in running Perl scripts for User Access Review notifications and FlexLM license calculations
Participate in sprint ceremonies under Agile/Scrum framework update JIRA tickets
Required Skills & Tools
Seismic data formats (SEG-Y, SEG-D, ZGY), Well log formats (LAS, DLIS),markers, directional survey in Petrel/Studio, Techlog, PetroMod
SQL basics (queries, data validation), Python (scripting basics) added advantage
ServiceNow (ticket management), JIRA (story tracking), SharePoint
Attention to detail, ability to work under minimal supervision, communication with technical SMEs
Nice to Have
Familiarity with Petrel E&P software (even viewer-level experience)
Exposure to High Performance Computing (HPC) environment awareness
Basic knowledge of oil & gas industry terms and reservoir concepts
Experience with FlexLM or software license monitoring tools
Understanding of ArcGIS or geospatial datasets
