Role Overview

The Business Manager Interiors will be responsible for driving revenue, managing design and sales teams, and ensuring seamless project delivery for customers seeking home interiors. This role blends sales, operations, and customer relationship management with a strong focus on design consultation and execution excellence.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Revenue

Own P&L responsibility for the Interiors business in the assigned city/region.

Drive lead conversions from inquiries to closures and ensure monthly sales targets are achieved.

Identify growth opportunities and implement strategies to increase customer acquisition and project volume.

2. Team Leadership

Manage and mentor a team of Design Consultants, Sales Executives, and Project Managers.

Conduct regular performance reviews, training, and goal-setting sessions.

Ensure team members maintain high levels of customer engagement and conversion efficiency.

3. Customer Experience

Oversee the complete customer journeyfrom design consultation to final handover.

Ensure on-time project completion, budget adherence, and high customer satisfaction.

Handle escalations and provide quick, effective resolutions.

4. Operations & Process Excellence

Coordinate with designers, vendors, and project execution teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Monitor key operational metrics such as design turnaround time, material delivery, and installation timelines.

Optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

5. Collaboration & Reporting

Collaborate with marketing and tech teams to improve lead generation, digital experience, and customer communication.

Provide regular reports on sales performance, team productivity, and customer feedback to senior management.

Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to guide business strategy.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership and team management skills

Proven experience in sales and operations within the interior design, real estate, or home improvement industry

Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer handling abilities

Data-driven mindset with comfort in using CRM and reporting tools

Understanding of home design, materials, and project management is an added advantage

Qualifications

Graduate degree required; MBA preferred

510 years of experience in business management, sales, or interiors project operations

Experience in managing design or home interiors teams (preferred from brands like Livspace, Homelane, Pepperfry, or similar)

Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Monthly revenue and margin achievement

Lead-to-conversion ratio

Project delivery timelines and quality

Customer satisfaction (NPS / feedback scores)

Team performance and retention
