Business Intelligence Developer

Position Summary:

The Business Intelligence Developer will be part of the global vehicle‑leasing arm that provides full‑service car‑leasing solutions to corporate clients. He/She will be responsible for designing, building, and modifying reports and queries using Oracle BI Publisher (or an equivalent tool) in line with technical specifications. The role also includes production and UAT support activities such as monitoring, issue resolution, and user assistance.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in all Agile ceremonies of the squad (Daily stand‑ups, Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, etc.).
• Promptly communicate any blocking issues.
• Estimate, develop, and deliver functionalities according to Jira tickets (change requests, bug fixes, etc.) while adhering to company standards.
• Perform unit testing of code before handing it over for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Deliver the committed number of Jira tickets within each sprint.
• Provide daily support for inbound data flows (jobs) and user‑interface issues within the Risk & Billing squad's scope.
• Contribute to Engineer Chapter events and the BIP Tribe community (e.g., guilds with the Engineer Tech‑Lead).

Required Education, Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with minimum 3 years of professional experience in BI reporting/development

• Experience with BI Publisher‑specific features (templates, data models, report bursting)

• Expert‑level SQL

• Hands‑on experience with Oracle BI Publisher (or comparable BI Publisher platform)

• Familiarity with Unix/Windows operating systems

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Ability to conduct unit tests and support UAT

• Agile/scrum experience (participating in ceremonies, ticket estimation)

• Familiarity with finance‑related data domains (billing, securitization, accounting)
