This individual will leverage advanced analytics and data science techniques to support the Commercial Sales organization through actionable insights, predictive modeling, and data-driven strategies. The role is critical in enabling evidence-based decision-making, optimizing prospecting efforts, and driving commercial growth through sophisticated data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Mining & Prospecting: Utilize prospecting tools (e.g., Informa Suite, Zymewire, LinkedIn Sales Navigator) and apply data science techniques to identify high-value prospects and optimize territory planning.
- Predictive & Prescriptive Analytics: Develop and implement predictive models to inform strategic decisions and prioritize sales efforts.
- Data Integration & Automation: Design and maintain automated data pipelines to consolidate information from CRM systems (SFDC), prospecting tools, and internal databases for real-time reporting.
- Visualization & Storytelling: Create dynamic dashboards and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, Salesforce CRM Analytics, or Spotfire to communicate insights effectively to senior leadership.
- Sales Performance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses on sales trends, pipeline health, and conversion metrics to identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions and actionable recommendations.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging data science tools and techniques to enhance analytical capabilities and drive innovation within the Commercial organization.

Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and modeling
- Expertise in SQL for data extraction and transformation
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Spotfire)
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and commercial analytics tools
Experience Recommended
- Minimum 5 years in data analytics or data science roles supporting sales or commercial functions
- Proven experience building predictive models and advanced analytics solutions
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Industry knowledge preferred
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related field (Master's preferred)
