Role Description

We are looking for one of our clients, a seasoned leader to head and scale our Roll Forming Business serving the rapidly growing renewable energy and infrastructure sectors. This position is based at Mundhra, Gujrat, India.

This is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving business growth, operational excellence, and market expansion, while building a high-performance manufacturing ecosystem.

If you have successfully led engineering manufacturing businesses with strong P&L ownership, this opportunity offers a platform to shape the next phase of growth.

Candidate Profile

Experience

  • 1825 years of experience in manufacturing, metal forming, engineering products, or industrial equipment sectors.
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing leadership, business management, and customer engagement.

Preferred Background

  • Experience in roll forming, torque tubes, API pipes, steel structures, solar tracker components, EPC ecosystem will be an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1.Business Strategy and Growth

  • Translate the organizational vision into short- and long-term business strategies for the roll forming division.
  • Develop and drive annual business plans, revenue targets, and operational roadmaps.
  • Identify new market opportunities, including renewable energy and solar sector projects.
  • Support leadership in strategic expansion, partnerships, and market positioning.

2. Manufacturing & Operational Excellence

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations across plants and ensure achievement of production, quality, and delivery targets.
  • Drive improvements in equipment uptime, productivity, yield, and operational efficiency.
  • Plan capacity expansion, commissioning of new equipment, and manufacturing capability enhancement.

3. Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Develop an efficient supplier ecosystem and strategic partnerships.
  • Implement demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and pull-based supply systems.
  • Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

4. Customer Delivery & Project Execution

  • Ensure seamless coordination between sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams for custom profile development.
  • Oversee customer project execution, documentation, quality compliance, and delivery schedules.
  • Serve as the escalation point for key customer issues.

5. Quality, EHS & Continuous Improvement

  • Institutionalize quality management systems, root cause analysis, and corrective action frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, traceability systems, and inspection protocols.
  • Monitor EHS performance and regulatory compliance across operations.

6. Technology & Digital Transformation

  • Drive adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, MES systems, and data-driven production monitoring.
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and digital manufacturing improvements.

7. Leadership & Team Development

  • Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team including Plant Heads and functional leaders.
  • Drive a performance-driven culture aligned with KPIs and business objectives.
  • Lead manpower planning, capability development, and succession planning.

8. Financial Performance

  • Own the P&L performance of the division.
  • Monitor key cost drivers such as conversion cost, material utilization, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
  • Lead CAPEX planning, project budgeting, and investment evaluation.

9. Sales Strategy & Market Expansion

  • Define revenue growth strategy across domestic and international markets.
  • Develop segment-wise and region-wise sales plans.
  • Drive market penetration in renewable energy, infrastructure, and industrial segments.

10. Key Customer & Industry Engagement

  • Build strategic relationships with key customers, EPC companies, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry forums and technical platforms.
  • Strengthen brand visibility through technical marketing and thought leadership initiatives.
