Role & Responsibilities

We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven Business Director of Events and Activation to play a key role in driving new business growth, managing client relationships, and implementing technology solutions in our events. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the events industry, with a proven ability to lead projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

New Business Development Support:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Assist in developing and executing sales strategies to expand our client base and increase revenue.
  • Participate in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations as needed.

Assist In Consolidating New Business

  • Support the sales process from lead generation to contract closure.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop proposals and presentations tailored to client needs.
  • Ensure smooth transition of new accounts to the operations team for successful execution.

Technology Integration In Events

  • Explore and implement innovative event technologies to enhance event experiences and operational efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for improved event planning and execution processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate technology solutions into event operations.

Leadership And Project Support

  • Provide support to the leadership team in leading the events and activation function.
  • Assist in setting goals, providing guidance, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Lead projects as assigned, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

Ideal Candidate

  • Total Experience (Mandatory): 10+ years of experience in Events & Activations / Experiential Marketing, with strong exposure to business development, client servicing, and project execution.
  • Mandatory (Experience 1 Events & Activation Ecosystem Expertise): Must have hands-on experience across corporate events, brand activations, experiential campaigns, and on-ground executions with strong understanding of planning-to-delivery workflows.
  • Mandatory (Experience 2 Key Account Management & Client Relationships): Must have independently managed and grown key client accounts, demonstrating strong client servicing, relationship ownership, and long-term partnership management.
  • Mandatory (Experience 3 Business Development & Revenue Growth): Proven track record in supporting or driving new business acquisition, pitch participation, and account expansion; should demonstrate clear contribution to revenue growth.
  • Mandatory (Technology Integration in Events): Must possess strong understanding of event technology (virtual/hybrid platforms, event engagement tools, automation, immersive tech) and its practical application in enhancing event experiences and efficiency.
  • Mandatory (Project Leadership & Execution Excellence): Should have experience leading or supporting end-to-end event projects from brief to execution, ensuring timelines, quality standards, and client expectations are met.
  • Mandatory (Communication & Client-Facing Skills): Strong presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills with proven ability to engage senior clients.
  • Education Background (Preferred): Graduate in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Business, or related field; MBA is a plus but not mandatory.
