Role Overview
The Business Development Trainee role is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals who want to build a career in sales, business development, and digital services. The trainee will undergo structured training while supporting the sales team in lead generation, client engagement, and learning how to sell Veloris Global's e-commerce and digital solutions.
Successful trainees will be eligible for promotion to Business Development Executive (BDE) based on performance and training outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development Support
Assist in identifying potential clients through research, LinkedIn, email campaigns, and outbound calls
Support inbound and outbound lead qualification
Learn to understand client business needs and pain points
Assist in presenting Veloris Global's services including:
Shopify & e-commerce development
Marketplace integrations
Digital marketing services
Ongoing e-commerce and BPO support
Sales Coordination
Support proposal and quotation preparation
Schedule meetings and demos for senior sales team members
Coordinate with internal teams (tech, design, marketing, operations) for service understanding
Assist in smooth handover of confirmed clients to delivery teams
Market Research & Learning
Research industries, competitors, and market trends
Learn pricing models, sales strategies, and solution positioning
Identify potential new verticals and upselling opportunities
CRM & Reporting
Maintain accurate lead and activity data in CRM systems
Track outreach, follow-ups, and pipeline movement
Assist in preparing basic sales and performance reports
Required Skills & Competencies
Good communication skills (spoken and written English)
Strong interest in sales, business development, and digital services
Willingness to learn e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred)
Basic computer knowledge and comfort with CRM tools
Good follow-up discipline and a target-oriented mindset
Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to grow
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Commerce, IT, or related field
Freshers are encouraged to apply
Any exposure to sales, digital marketing, e-commerce, or BPO is an added advantage
