Job Description

Job Title: Capital Consultant

Location: Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Experience: 2–3 years

About the Company

Recur is building a client-focused lending and capital access business that helps organizations secure funding with speed, clarity, and confidence. The team works across the full deal lifecycle, connecting clients and lenders through a disciplined, relationship-led approach that balances commercial judgment with operational precision. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, with strong ownership expected across client conversations, deal structuring, lender coordination, and portfolio follow-through. Success here depends on building trust, maintaining high deal hygiene, and ensuring every stakeholder has the right information at the right time. The role is suited to someone who can operate like a strategic partner, stay close to the business outcomes behind each deal, and help create a smooth funding experience from first conversation through realization.

About the Role

As a Capital Consultant, you will own deal movement across the client and lender journey, ensuring funding opportunities are structured, validated, and closed smoothly. You will sit at the center of client acquisition, deal management, lender communication, portfolio monitoring, and invoicing coordination, with direct impact on conversion, client satisfaction, and realization. The role calls for someone who can assess funding needs clearly, maintain strong deal discipline, and build trust with both clients and lenders through responsive, accurate execution. You will also support portfolio health by tracking early warning signals, identifying redeployment opportunities, and helping maintain long-term relationships that strengthen repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage client relationships that translate funding needs into actionable deal opportunities, using a consultative approach that supports growth and strengthens trust over time.
  • Assess funding requirements across quantum, pricing, security, and use case, then shape clear deal narratives that improve lender understanding and increase closure efficiency.
  • Curate and maintain deal funnels across Spark, Swift, and Scale stages, ensuring each opportunity has complete, accurate, and decision-ready information.
  • Own the preparation and validation of engagement letters and deal one-pagers, reducing errors, improving compliance, and keeping execution aligned to agreed terms.
  • Present curated opportunities to lenders and coordinate documentation end to end, removing friction, escalating blockers quickly, and keeping deals moving toward closure.
  • Monitor portfolio health through EWS and DPD tracking, so emerging risks are visible early and collection actions can protect realization and client continuity.
  • Maintain clean and current deal data in HubSpot, support client and lender queries, and drive adoption of the platform as a reliable operating system for the team.
  • Partner with Operations on invoicing and collections to ensure timely realization, while spotting redeployment opportunities that deepen the portfolio relationship.

Essential Skills & Technologies

  • Strong understanding of debt financing, lending products, and financial services workflows, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a way clients and lenders can act on quickly.
  • Proven client acquisition and relationship management capability, with the discipline to convert conversations into qualified opportunities and sustained commercial outcomes.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and moving deals through structured stages without losing accuracy, urgency, or stakeholder confidence.
  • High attention to detail in documentation, data validation, and process hygiene, especially when accuracy directly affects funding timelines and compliance.
  • Familiarity with CRM discipline, ideally HubSpot, for maintaining pipeline visibility, deal integrity, and timely follow-up across the portfolio.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to handle lender coordination, client support, and issue escalation in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, high-accountability settings where priorities shift quickly and proactive ownership is expected at every stage.

Additional Plus

  • Prior exposure to debt financing, financial services, venture capital, fintech, or lending businesses.
  • Experience working closely with collections, portfolio management, or realization processes in a lending or credit-led environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence redeployment or repeat business through strong post-close relationship management.

What You'll Bring

  • You bring 2–3 years of relevant experience and a track record of owning client conversations with maturity, urgency, and a strong commercial instinct.
  • You understand how to move debt-related deals forward through disciplined coordination, accurate documentation, and consistent follow-through across stakeholders.
  • You communicate clearly, build trust quickly, and stay effective in fast-paced situations where the quality of your judgment affects closure speed and client experience.
  • You work with a proactive, self-driven mindset and take ownership of outcomes rather than waiting for issues to surface or resolve themselves.

Why Join Us

Join Recur if you want to work at the center of client growth, lender coordination, and funding execution. This role gives you exposure to the full deal lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and shaping funding conversations to supporting portfolio health and realization. You will work in a high-ownership environment where speed, accuracy, and relationship quality matter equally. The opportunity is well suited to someone who wants to grow as a commercial operator, deepen their understanding of debt financing, and have direct visibility into the impact of their work on client outcomes and business performance. If you are energized by complex coordination, trusted relationships, and the challenge of making funding move smoothly, this role offers that platform.
