Business Development Overview

Business Development focuses on driving growth by identifying new opportunities, building relationships, and expanding revenue streams.

1 Roles (What the position does)

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and manage client and partner relationships
  • Act as a bridge between sales, marketing, and leadership
  • Represent the company in meetings, events, and negotiations
  • Support long-term growth strategy and market expansion

2 Responsibilities (Day-to-day & strategic tasks)

Market & Opportunity Analysis

  • Research markets, industries, and competitors
  • Identify customer needs, trends, and gaps

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management

  • Pitch products/services to potential clients
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Understand client requirements and propose solutions

Strategic Planning

  • Develop business growth strategies
  • Identify partnerships, alliances, and collaborations
  • Support product/service expansion plans

Coordination & Reporting

  • Work closely with marketing, product, and finance teams
  • Track KPIs, sales pipelines, and performance metrics
  • Prepare reports for management review
