Job Description
This is a remote position.
Embrace Software Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in accelerating our company's growth by sourcing, tracking, qualifying, and managing leads effectively. This position involves managing broker relationships, as well as taking full responsibility for maintaining a pipeline of leads in Salesforce. Additionally, the Business Development Associate will contribute to special market research projects. The ability to read, write, and speak English fluently is a mandatory requirement for this role. Ideal candidates will possess strong knowledge of software businesses, experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and experience using CRMs, which is highly valued for this position. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, showing the ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilize tools like LinkedIn and Zoominfo to screen potential company targets and create customized outreach.
- Conduct comprehensive industry research to strengthen and inform our business development strategies.
- Identify and assess prospects aligning with our investment criteria.
- Maintaining and consistently updating the CRM with accurate and relevant data
- Ability to automate outbound deal generation efforts by creating and maintaining cadences
- Initiating the first touchpoint with leads via personalized email communication, ensuring timely and effective outreach
- Identify relevant research organizations, advisory groups, and trade conferences to optimize and inform strategic decision-making.
- Foster and maintain relationships with brokers to enhance business partnerships and facilitate deal flow.
- Proactively build knowledge of vertical market software and M&A for continuous personal development.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- Outstanding academic achievements, holding a bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or accounting; an MBA would be a valuable addition.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in outbound sales, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, deliverability, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM compliance.
- Proven track record in prospecting and navigating sales processes.
- Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.
- Proficient in utilizing Microsoft 365 and Google Drive, with additional competence in CRM/outreach tools, particularly beneficial if experienced with Zoho.
- Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to confidently present to the C-suite executives and business owners.
- Familiarity with the VMS concept and a comprehensive understanding of the M&A framework would be advantageous.
