Role description: We are looking for a hands-on Operations & Business Development specialist to contribute to day-to-day functioning of our gym, courts while also driving memberships, partnerships, and on-ground growth. This role ensures seamless operations, exceptional member experiences, and consistent revenue momentum through strong execution and community engagement. The ideal candidate is operationally sharp, people-focused and commercially minded someone who can manage the floor while also growing the business. Prior experience in fitness-led environment and/or hospitality, with a strong understanding of on-ground operations, service excellence and community-driven businesses is required.
Key responsibilities:
Facility & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day operations across gym, courts, studios, and recovery spaces
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, equipment upkeep, and member flow
Membership, Sales & Business Development
- Drive memberships, renewals, and upsell opportunities
- Build and manage corporate tie-ups, local partnerships, and referral channels
Community Building & Engagement
- Actively build and nurture the Jolt community through on-ground presence and relationships
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive culture across fitness, sports, and social touchpoints
- Lead community-led initiatives such as leagues, group workouts, tournaments, workshops, and social events
- Strengthen member loyalty through consistent engagement and feedback loops
Member & Guest Experience
- Deliver a premium, high-touch experience for members and guests
- Handle feedback, resolve issues proactively, and build long-term relationships
Staffing & Supervision
- Manage staff scheduling, on-floor supervision, and service standards
- Coach teams to embody Jolt's community-first and service-led ethos
Finance & Inventory
- Track daily revenues, expenses, and inventory
- Support vendor coordination, cost controls, and basic reporting
Marketing, Events & Activations
- Execute on-ground events, activations, and brand-led experiences
- Collaborate on local marketing initiatives that strengthen community and visibility
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols, compliance standards, and emergency readiness
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, sports management, or a related field
- 36 years of experience in operations, preferably in fitness, wellness, hospitality, or sports facilities
- Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and people / stakeholder management abilities
- Commercial mindset with comfort around sales and partnerships
- Passion for fitness, wellness, sports, and an active lifestyle
- First-aid and cpr certification
