Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive Business Development Merchandiser with strong experience in export merchandising and woven home textiles. The role involves managing international buyer accounts, driving product development, and ensuring smooth execution from sampling to shipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle overseas buyers (USA, Europe, Middle East) as the key point of contact
- Understand buyer requirements, specs, and seasonal timelines
- Manage costing, pricing, and negotiations
- Coordinate with design & sampling teams for new developments
- Develop mood boards, CADs, fabric swatches, and samples
- Track sampling, production, and shipment timelines
- Ensure smooth communication and regular updates to buyers
- Research global trends, colors, and product innovations
- Prepare product specs, packaging details, and compliance documents
- Coordinate with logistics/export teams for timely shipment
- Ensure compliance with standards (OEKO-TEX, GOTS, etc.)
Key Skills & Requirements
- 4–10 years of experience in home textile export merchandising
- Strong knowledge of woven products (bedding, curtains, cushions, table linen, etc.)
- Good understanding of product development & textile processes
- Strong communication skills for international buyer handling
- Good sense of design, color, and trends
- Organized, proactive, and solution-oriented
