Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive Business Development & Marketing Associate to support our growth initiatives at Purple Oak Advisors. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in driving pipeline generation, improving proposal quality, strengthening our marketing presence, and enabling the founder in business development activities.

This is a multi-functional role that combines presales, outbound outreach, marketing operations, and sales enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development and Pre-Sales Support:

  • Conduct research on target companies, promoters, industries, and competitor landscapes.
  • Prepare high-quality pitch decks, proposals, and capability presentations.
  • Assist in drafting pricing proposals and structuring solution narratives.
  • Build a repository of case studies, frameworks, and credentials for repeated use.

Outbound Lead Generation:

  • Identify and build lists of relevant prospects across mid-market manufacturing, retail and consumer sectors.
  • Execute structured outreach campaigns across mail and LinkedIn.

Marketing & Content Operations:

  • Convert company insights into LinkedIn insights, micro content and newsletters.
  • Manage weekly publishing and monitor performance analytics.
  • Update website pages, case study sections and capability materials.
  • Assist with webinars, round tables and speaker engagements.
  • Support development of marketing collaterals such as brochures, one pagers and presentations.

Sales Enablement and Internal Initiatives:

  • Prepare weekly pipelines reports and dashboards.
  • Document minutes of meetings and ensure follow-ups for effective deal closure.
  • Maintained structured templates for proposals, outreach and credentials.
  • Contribute to thought leadership, industry perspectives and proprietary frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
  • 13 years of experience in presales, business development, growth, marketing operations, or consulting.
  • Strong research and analytical skills with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and writing ability - able to convert ideas into polished content.
  • Understanding of B2B marketing, outreach campaigns, and LinkedIn content creation.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
